What cant you do on a mac?Is a clamshell a good choice?

I had one of those in college! A fluorescent green one! The thing that sucked was that the 2nd generation iBook, which was WAY faster, came out like 1 week after I got the clamshell one. It was a very ggod computer for word processing and taking notes, which is what I was primarily using it for in college, but it had like ZERO memory, and was very slow with the Internet. You'd be better off saving up for one from this year.

the clamshell ibook was the 1st gen of the ibook series which is no longer made. u can still find them on ebay but they r very slow and very old. save ur money n get a new macbook

People still use them but not for mac os x or 9 as much because the ppc version of xubuntu runs so much faster on them. If your getting the notebook cheap then go for it. Xubuntu is pretty easy to install and a good end user experience.

"giggles" thats a verry old model I don't think apple makes it anymore and macs are good for make lovers and people who understand computers you should get a laptop running windows if you don't know a lot about macs or apple computers
