I wear a grey colored eye shawdow when I need anything to match. It is not as harsh as black (i'm a pale one. lol) and I still get that smokey look. Just remember, only play up one feature. If you are going to accentuate your eyes then just wear a little gloss. It works both ways. Red lips, then natural eyes. Otherwise you'll look like a clown. Have fun and remember to experiment. Not everything has to match to look good. i think the only thing that would really clash is other metallics.

Eyeshadows that go good with silver: pearly white, light purple, any shade of brown
Lipsticks: Just a clear gloss or maybe a tint of light pink. (no red!)

Silver goes with:
white, taupe, pink, mint, hunter green, baby or navy blue, all purples, and grays.
Best lipsticks/blush would be: pink, berry, plum, or wine.
Try charcoal gray, navy, or black-brown for mascara/liner.
You can make a smoky eye with charcoal and gray, or expresso and chocolate.

You could try just some gloss, and some black eye liner with very light Grey or white.

Stick with what are called "Cool tones", the opposite of course being "Warm tones."

Cool: Pinks with a blue tone to it, lavenders, greens, blues, berries, and even some mauves.

Warm tones: Browns, golds, peaches, oranges, pinks with a red or orange tone, and reds. (Obviously.)

Neutrals go with anything... sand, beige, light browns, grays.
