Spotting occurs in about 30% of pregnancies and 50% of those end in miscarriage. My sister in law had spotting throughout all of her pregnancies, and that was "normal" for her. You really need to go to your doctor and have an ultrasound done to make sure everything is okay. Spotting alone isn't as dangerous as spotting with heavy cramping.

Oh, honey. Yes you should, I'm afraid. Get yourself to a doctor - it sounds like you are miscarrying, this is exactly how my miscarriage started. I'm so sorry.
My doctor was nice by the way, but there isn't anything to do. He just said, yes, it sounds like you are miscarrying - once it's started there is really nothing that can be done. He told me to keep an eye on the bleeding; if it continues longer than a week after you lose the "products of conception" (sorry, that's what they call it) then risks are of infection are high and you may need a D&C to make sure all the tissue is removed. I didn't need this though.
I know that a few women do spot during pregnancy and go on to have babies just fine, but I don't want to get your hopes up. The percentage is small. If you go on spotting, and don't start bleeding heavily, then probably you'll get a scan to see what's going on. You may be lucky and get one straight away now, but the likelihood of that changing the outcome is also small.
HUGS.

you need to go to the hospital at *ANY* sign of spotting or bleeding. Go STRAIGHT to the OB [ask the front desk or triage where the OB is] DO NOT signed into triage, they will make you wait a million hours and don't care if you're miscarrying, because essentially there is nothing that can be done, you are just another statistic..... But go straight to the OB, they will put you in a bed, ask to hear the baby's heart beat if they do not do it right away or ask you what you want.. This is pretty much all they can do. They will probably give you an ultrasound..

I would call your Dr. and get in there for a little checkup. They can do an ultrasound to see if things look okay. A little bit of back pain & light spotting could still be normal at this stage, but you want to check into things just in case. When I had a miscarriage in December, it started off with back pain & then I bled the next day.
All the best to you, and I hope things turn out well!

Call your DR and let him/her know right away. Whenever there is spotting, most Dr will want to see you right away, but add the back pain and it becomes an emergency.
If the spotting is bright red and you are passing clots of any type, go to the emergency room. It could be the beginning of a miscarriage

Yes, that could be bad. Although, I was spotting early in my pregnancy, so I went to the ER, they did a vaginal ultrasound, and I found out that, yes, the baby was fine....and so was the other one. I had a small tear that was causing the bleeding and everything was fine. Don't take any chances, though. I'd get to the ER right away.

Unless you are bleeding red blood, I would just kind of ride it out and lay low. If its brown spotting, that is fairly common in early pregnancy. The back pain, oh I can otally relate to! Nothing that I know of to releive it except tylenol, sorry. Good luck to you!

a million month and 3 weeks...or in a million greater week you would be 2 months....medical doctors bypass via this: 4 weeks=1month 40 weeks for a being pregnant, yet seen finished term at 38 weeks.. you provide delivery on the tip of the 9th month

Just to be on the safe side you should go the dotor or hospital, I dont want to scare you but this might be a sign of miscarraige or ectopic pregnancy, but I know spotting and back pain can be normal during pregnancy, but on the safe side definetely see a doctor, they know best when it comes to these situations, good luck :)
