The McCanns have placed their funds in a Ltd company they have opened. Funds in a Ltd company are yours to do what you want. Had the McCanns opened a charity fund the money must go to charity and helping others. Do you feel that it would have been more appropriate to have gone the charity route and used some of that donation money to help publicize other missing children who have nobody to take up for them?

As it is a Limited Company, the McCanns don't have to tell anyone where or what they have done with the money they have received via members of the public. If it had of been set up as a charity, then they would of had to publicise where and how the money was being spent. I know it is wrong and this fund should not of been allowed.

It is a Ltd Company. Whats wrong with the Mccann Supporters? What are some suggesting? That the money is compensation for the loss of their daughter? I THOUGHT it was supposed to be used to find the child, well you learn something new every day don't you? In fact what i really cant understand, is that the Families supporters just wont discuss the "Fund". If the Mccann's are such a fine upstanding couple, with nothing to conceal, why are we not allowed to talk about the cash? Ordinary people have contributed out of their ordinary earnings, don't you think there ought to be some accountability?

Yep, the whole thing about the fund stinks. If the public have donated then the public need to know where it goes. Its plain accountability ethics no matter what the cause.

I feel awful for anyone who loses a child. However this entire episode has had red flags from the beginning.
