I want to reduce the wideness, because I know in several Desktops you are able to do that since it has buttons in the monitor.

So what do i click, because I have a widescreen computer and i want to make the wideness of it smaller inside the screen.

On laptops, there's no way to do this. There's no need to resize it because it's already set to the proper resolution depending on the size of your LCD. If you have a 15" on your notebook, the resolution is 1280x800. Reducing the resolution wil cause everything to look bigger and you'll get a blurry image. I suggest you leave things as they are.

Hi. Right click on your desktop, select Properties, Settings, and the resolution you want. They click APPLY not OK because if the monitor does not like to new res it will revert back in 15 seconds.

laptop screen are relatively set in how they display an image... there isn't alot of adjusting you can do... if you're wanting to adjust it by alot (so the picture on the screen is the shape of a non-wide monitor with black bars to the left and right) keep in mind that the picture is going to look funny... it will be squished... everything will look "skinny".... but if you're insistant on doing this, call your hardware manufacturer and ask them for the steps to accomplish this... all laptops are different
