Truthfully, yes. You're too young. The consequences of getting preggers or an STD at your age far outway the pleasure. More and more young people are choosing (wisely) to wait to have sex until later. Stats show that more than 60% of teens who have sex, get preggers. And more than 30% get an STD. also, 90% of girls who get preggers do not get married to the father (who most of the time beat feet once your preggers) and very few complete their education. a huge majority end up on welfare or homeless. Most never have nice things like a home, nice car etc because they don't have the education to secure a good solid well paying job. AND a baby is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week commitment. Forget partying, or travel, or having fun, you'll be busy with the baby.
Good luck in your choice/

If you ask 100 people if you should have sex at 16 you'll get 100 different answers. My advise to you is this; when you are 16 you feel mature but you are not, surely not as mature as you'll be at 18, 20, 25 ect. If you delay having sex with this person who you will probably not be dating any longer in the distant future, you won't look back and say "I wish I had had sex with him", however you could likely say "if only I hadn't had sex with him"! There can be heavy duty consequences to having sex at age 16, and they can all have heavy emotional prices that you might pay for a long time. Wait. You won't regret that decision! Get experience getting to know how to relate to guys and really establishing sound convictions about what you want from a relationship. Too often it becomes about giving guys what they want.

Yes, i would say 99.99999% of 16 year olds are too young for sex. Not because of some physical thing but because of the emotional and circumstantal situatutions that can arise.

I wont tell you about all the STD's that you can catch that will ruin your life, however i will remind you about pregnancy and the HUGE impact an unwanted pregnancy can have on you and your family.

Just think about the consequences. I waited till I was 18, even though I dated the same boy since I was 16. In the end it was the best thing for both of us.

If you have to ask, then I'd say probably. If you start too early, then you may find yourself feeling somewhat degraded, or confused. You're first time is one time where you should be extremely selfish. Basically, you know when your body lets you know. You'll burn for it. And it'll feel like you're dancing when that option arises. You won't be asking the question at that time. Really. It's an essential part of being a race that needs to have sex to exist. Trust the evolution that brought you to this present state. Sixteen is probably old enough to start considering it, maybe, but like I said, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, other peoples opinions, if you want to be true to yourself, are not as important. I waited until I was 21 (which is only a number), just for the reason mentioned. And I'm happy I waited for that moment, because it was a really nice experience, and I lost no respect for myself.

The best/safest answer all around is yes, you are too young.

In the real world - you say you've already had sex. So, Please go and see a doctor - a gynacologist to get an exam and discuss birth control if you plan to continue to have sex - you still need the exam, even if you don't plan on having sex again soon.

Learn about STD's, safer sex - THE ONLY SAFE SEX IS NO SEX - and how to keep yourself clean and healthy.

There are places like planned parenthood that will see you and talk with you for free without your parents, if that is a concern.

Most 16 year olds do not want to hear this but your not should wait until your older and understand sex more. I not saying you don't understand what sex is but there is a part of it that I don't think a 16 year old no matter how smart they are can understands.

That is hard to say. Studies have shown that young people who have sex too early end up with lots of problems. In addition to STDs and pregnancy, there are mental and emotional issues to consider. I don't see a good reason to be in a hurry.

yes actually you are. your body hasn't developed enough to even be able to appreciate in full the sensations associated with truly good sex. Not to mention that you are in no way emotionally stable enough or mature enough to be able to deal with the possible results of sex, like pregnancy or STD.
There is a reason that adults in your life tell you that you are too young, experience is a tough teacher and they would spare you heartbreak and or illness.

It's up to you... I made a personal choice not to have sex until I was at least 18. I didn't want to be another statistic and be a pregnant girl in HS. So When i finally did I was out of HS and almost 19 and in a long term relationship.
