The whole Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. It's 5 books, you know. If you happen to finish that, I would read The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. DO NOT read LOTR unless you are willing to put up with the medieval and elven terminology. Watch the movies instead.
Read the seventh Harry Potter book (when it comes out). Also, try reading the Inheritance series (Eragon, Eldest) if you haven't already. I can't wait for the third book to come out.
Get into manga! Some volumes I recommend are Bleach, Naruto, and Claymore. That should occupy your whole summer quite nicely.

Since you like Harry Potter, I bet you would really like British author Jenny Nimmo's Children of the Red King Series (aka the Charlie Bone Books.) I love this series!
The main character, Charlie Bone, discovers that he is endowed with a magical talent (to converse with people inside photographs) and is sent to Bloor's Academy, a boarding school (they go home on weekends) for other endowed students as well as students with artistic, dramatic, or musical talents. Charlie makes both friends and enemies as he learns about and responds to the various schemes that are hatched at Bloor's. Little by little, Charlie discovers clues about the disappearance of his amazing father some ten years before.
There are currently six books released in the series. Be sure to read them in order.
(Original English titles first, followed by American titles):
1. Midnight for Charlie Bone (UK: 1 February 2002, US: April 1, 2002)
**planned to be a feature film from Warner Bros.
2. The Time Twister (1 April 2003) / Charlie Bone and the Time Twister (3 April 2003)
3. Charlie Bone and The Invisible Boy (1 April 2004) / Charlie Bone and the Invisible Boy (1 July 2004)
4. The Castle of Mirrors (5 June 2005) / Charlie Bone and the Castle of Mirrors (2005)
5. Charlie Bone and the Hidden King (UK: 5 June 2006, US: 2006)
6. Charlie Bone and the Wilderness Wolf (4 June 2007) / Charlie Bone and the Beast (1 June 2007)
7. Charlie Bone and the Gargoyles(15 October 2007)

Not being a snob I am only suggesting taking a look at the bible if you haven't already. Take a look in the New Testament at the book of John. One of the things that is fascinating about the bible is it is all truth. This is confirmed by the prophecies made in the old testament that have come to fruition some even hundreds of years later. As an example in the OT the coming of the messiah (Christ) was prophesied such as where He would be born and how He would die(even though Crucifixion was not practiced at the time of the writing). He fulfilled over 100 prophecies at His coming. This tells me the God of the bible is the true God , the Creator of Heaven and Earth and His word can be trusted. It only takes a little of your time, hope you do it, cheers for now.

Make sure you've ordered the next Harry Potter book, just over a month left before it will show up on your doorstep.
Have you read The DaVinci Code yet? What about books like Secret Life of Bees, Kite Runner, etc? Great books.

If you're into video games and best friends stories I think you might like my novel GAMEPLAYER: The Genesis Portal.
GAMEPLAYER follows the adventures of Nine-dog, Gator and Louie; three racially diverse buddies growing up in the skateboarding, video gaming obsessed Santa Monica, California beach life-style.
Their lives revolve around school, skateboarding and video gaming until a bizarre encounter with a run amok video game propels them into a deadly world of terror, murder and intrigue.
It's available at the normal online sites like amazon, B&N, Borders, etc. and as an e-book on mobipocket.com.
You can check it out further and read the prologue on my site www.myspace.com/gameplayerbook.
Not meant as a commercial just a suggestion,
Gary Anderson

Well, there is a good 'adult' book I'd reccomend. Its probably not above your level, since I'm not in highschool yet and I've read it. The book is Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini. Don't worry, its an easy read. If you finish that, you could even read the sequel A Thousand Splendid Suns. I'm going to read that after my dad is done with it.
