I think I heard this in a radio interview with the author. I think the book is a wonderful satire of contemporary masculinity. Did you know that people in New York actually started fight clubs after the book came out? Didn't they understand that the novel is a dark comedy?

Chuck Palahniuk is a genius. I've read most of his books and Fight Club is my all-time favourite movie.

He's so funny and subversive, but some of his stuff is a bit stomach churning, I've got to admit.
