Sorry about the hint of capitalism. I had to actually work all day.

I understand the communal vocabulary part. I mean, what about the little gems that 14 people see at 2:00AM?

I am talking about a way to share your work beyond Y!A. I will be glad to help make such a thing happen, if enough of the really talented people want to persue it. I am in the publishing business. I have a magic wand.

Copyright is a can of worms – bear in mind that copyright is all about ownership and the owner of the copyright being authorised to determine how their materials are used.
Everything that is broadcast is owned by someone.
Commercialisation is definitely not allowed. As for seeking permission, you can write ad infinitum to the copyright
owner and will probably get no reply, but this does not mean that you can do what you like.
Important changes to the Copyright Act came into force in many countries, and resulted in important amendments,
especially amendments relating to dissemination of copyright material via the Internet and the reinforced rights of authors to be acknowledged.

The artist owns the work. All of my poems have been submitted for copyright. You would have to get each persons permission and pay them too

Edit; I have just checked with my attorney. Indeed the author owns all rights to the work presented. Each poem has the artists screen name with it which Yahoo has the artists real name. I wouldn't suggest using them without permission.

Once they are out here, they are public domain, and anyone can use them, if they haven't already been copywrited, which no one seems to do with their private poetry. It's free to the public ... especially at 2:00 a.m.

We all do. It's community meant to benefit whoever comes to look.
