I want to put some skeletons in my room (for Halloween) and I want them to look authentic, not like some corny haunted-house decoration. I intend on "sprucing" them up a bit (I want to make them look like pirates, more specifically the ones in Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, where you see the cursed pirates and they're all skeletons... yah you get the point) And please keep the cost low!!! and I don't want a fancy-medical one, just like one you see in a classroom. thanks for the help in advance! if i'm too vague feel free to comment and I'll try to clear things up.

Something tells me you don't need to place skeletons on your closet. I think there may already be a few there.

As Halloween gets closer, party stores and department stores should have some. However, also try checking Bucky's Boneyard. The first link below will take you to their site. The second link will give you some ideas and tips you might find helpful. The third and fourth links are to the 2006 and 2007 of the Halloween Online Magazine which will give you some further ideas, like using a skeleton to make a "rotting corpse" prop.

If you want a skeleton that looks authentic, it's not going to be cheap.

Do a search for a 4th quality Bucky skeleton. They are a better quality than what you would find in a Halloween store, and still affordable.
This one is $159:

This one is $32:

And this one is $52:

You can "paint" thin pieces of cotton onto the skeleton with liquid latex to make it look more realistic, or use this method: http://www.fulcrumsites.com/haunt/html/corpsification1.html
It will hide any imperfections in the skeleton.

Party City, Terrys Village, Halloween Express - you can get skeletons at any of those. Try Garden Ridge - they usually have great stuff at Halloween!! Good luck - it sounds like great fun!!!!

To get a realistic one, try Fisher Scientific or Carolina Biological supply...They'll have anatomically complete ones -- but they will be very expensive. You might try Ebay, but watch out for cheap junk.
