I met my wife when she was 17 and I 24. I was married at the time but not happy at all. I left my then wife and we started dating. We had a child and eventually got married. This is what I thought we both wanted. Not just because we had a child but, because we loved each other very much as well. She was a good wife. I loved her very much but must admit that I didn't put an equal amount of effort as she did. I just never knew how this affected her cuz, she did not communicate with me. So instead of talking to me she started talking to another man behind my back. She says he shows her attention. They haven't done anything sexually, just talked. Please know that I would of done anything to save our marriage. But she never told me how serious it was. Some say she could just be putting all the blame on me so she doesn't feel guilty. I can still tell she cares but she seems to be done with us.I know I have rights as a father but have no money to get legal help at this time. What should I do?

I wish I had answers for you cause sounds like you're a good guy. No one is perfect and if she wasn't willing to tell you how she was feeling then shame on her, not you! You can't fix a problem when you don't know it exist and telling you when she doesn't want to fix it anymore is ridiculous! I hope things work out for you!

btw Good point Krinta...

I think that the two of you need to seek marriage counseling. This marriage could be saved, it's lacking communication skills. By talking to a professional the two of you can work out your problems. You obviously love your wife, your child, and want to make this work... so take the first step in searching for a good marriage counselor located in or around your area. I'm pretty sure talking things out will help the entire situation.

If I were in your place I would do everything in my power to save the marriage. I would honestly accept all of my faults and promise her that you would change. Even ask for a six months probation and prove that you are a man of your words. I think you can still win her back if you pray and work hard to save your marriage. From what you are saying she is a keeper and good wives are hard to come by these days.

The first thing it to try counseling, or a legal separation. 14yrs is a lot to throw out before professional help. It may help but it may be the best to split. It may not seem it now but things always have a way of working out. Good luck.

Check your yellow pages for indigent legal aid services - there is usually an office around bigger towns or you may have to drive a bit as one office can cover many areas.

She felt ignored by you and unloved and found it from someone else - not uncommon. Hope things work out for you.

What comes around goes around, you left one woman for this wife, now she wants another man. Hope this has been a lesson learned about cheating. It doesn't pay too. Be happy with what you have at home. Hopefully, you two can work this out.
