He's terribly underrated

i was a HUGE fan back in the day. his mystical poetry and sometimes gentle, sometimes gruff voice were marvelous. i still recall the lyrics to maybe 30 of his songs from having listened to them so often. to correct someone's opinions or statements on here is rare, but he did not stop making music. he released a CD under his muslim name "yusef... um... ?islam?" which WAS a commercial flop. i'd still like to hear what it was like, however.

Oh yeah. He can probably rock really good in that rocking chair on the front porch of the assisted living home.

I love his stuff. I wouldn't say he rocks though. You're right...he is underrated.

...there is no more cat stevens....his music is very old from the early 70''s - he's now a buddhist monk & gave up that life, name, family, etc.

no, he doesn't rock........he's deceived.......
