I have heard reports that other teams are saying there is some match fixing going on and the referees are making sure Mexico and the USA make it to the final by being blind and making unfair calls. This is already being speculated which really sucks.
The two red cards against Costa Rica seemed "suspicious" there was a lot of calls for Costa Rica that did not happen and no wonder Costa Rica was getting frustrated... that was a bad game, hard to watch someone get so cheated. The US only got above Panama because they got a penalty shot right in front of the net, and yes the two red cards weakening the Panama team..
GolTV has reported a lot of teams feeling that this Gold Cup is fixed, but I hope if it is, the whole thing blows up in the USA's face like the Italian match fixing scandal of 2006. Ironically Germany put on the World Cup and never once did anyone feel a game was fixed, everything was fair and square and may the best team win which is the way it should be.
Canada plays the US next and I am concerned we will suffer the same unfair calls and blind referees as the last US and Mexico game..
Mexico is getting by this tournament on a wing and a prayer, if anyone thinks they are playing well they are out of their minds. The team is far from impressive in their matches. They are not the team that made it to the World Cup.
I hope there is no truth to this but anyone can tell a fixed game and if the referees continue to call it one-sided all the way to the final its going to be a mockery of the sport and the Gold Cup.

USA and Mexico bring in the money. Do you think many people would go see a Canada vs Guadeloupe final? Nah, remember that the CONCACAF is economically weak and not as privileged as the other confederations. Much more money is to be made with Mexico and the USA in the final regardless of who wins it.

1. USA gets a better draw because they are a better team. They earned it
2. I saw that game. They deserved those red cards
3. Questionable calls are part of football
4. Again, they deserved those cards.
Oh, and i completely expect Guadeloupe to defeat Mexico.

The refereeing my be bad but there is no fix in. The US and Mexico are the best two teams in the confed.

the gold cup is designed for u.s and mexico to meet at the end. there is more money in having u.s and mexico in the final than any other teams, it is supposedly the biggest rivalry in the concacaf.
