To be removed from congress can happen one of two ways.
1. For the congressman to commit a high crime, and be convicted.
2. By a recall vote. There has to be a petition for a recall vote with a certain percentage of registered voters signing depending on their state law. Then one the recall election is set, a majority of votes cast has to be in favor of the recall.
In either one it is not an easy task, but can be done, if the people in their district is fed up enough to do the leg work, and get the signatures required. You know their party isn't going to even begin to support a recall.

The reason that congress has such low poll ratings is because they havent been standing up to Bush enough. People are angry that they havent ended the Iraq war
And while Congress in general has a low opinion rating, there is not one single congressman, Republican and Democrat, that has ratings as low as Bush or Cheney.

Personally, I've made the decision to never again vote for an incumbent for anything.
It's pretty obvious that these people are for sale. I see no other way for a person to become a millionaire in five years on a $100,000 per year salary but by corruption.
That being the case, the only thing we can do is stop re-electing people. It's the only way to raise the cost of buying politicians by big money interests by making them buy a new one every two years.
"DON'T RE-ELECT NOBODY!"

Because both would be a waste of time. Poll results are WORTHLESS and certainly not a basis for impeachment. Impeachment deals with crimes of officials, it is not a referendum for a vote of no confidence or a tool to remove leaders we don't like.

Next Election Clean Congress Out by Votes. Anyone
New in Congress would be better than what is in there
now. If they BELIEVE, have FAITH, and want to bring
the UNITED STAES OF AMERICA BACK, TO WHICH IT
STANDS FOR make their VOTE COUNT, OF THE
PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, AND BY THE PEOPLE.

The whole government is crappy, never mind Congress and Bush. Both the Liberals and Conservatives are doing horrible right now. There are few politicians who actually care about our country anymore, and most Americans are taking notice.

Good thought! Members of Congress would have to impeach themselves, and that isn't likely. The democrats promised to end the war in Iraq, and caved in at the first sign of pressure. I respectfully recommend we vote them to Siberia.

Maybe because they arnt the ones we hear about in the news. And americans can be so ignorant and hard headed thats they think its all the president. Impeaching the congress might not be the easiest thing too do but i guesse you should try it.

Term Limits is the only way to get the government back to the people. Another good idea would be to limit the time they are in D.C. When these collectivists get together they seem to forget their constituents. They're too busy spending our money; writing laws no one understands; trying to get invited to the best parties; or trying to get into someone else's pants (or dresses)!
