Yes, it's anoyng. Some people don't actually know that. They judge about the looks and frogs kinda look like reptiles... :-??
And probably are wrong because they think about the turtle frogs which are reptiles if I'm not wrong... So this is the thing....
You can do anything about it. Some people don't actually have enough knowledge

If you are talking about all the frog questions here its because there isn't a amphibian category and if they post it in general pet. They probably wont get as good of an answer. Most people that know alot about reptiles also know a bit about frogs. They are amphibians but not everybody knows that. Its best to just let them think they are reptiles so they dont get upset. And the question still gets answered if its in reptiles.
If you aren't talking about on this site. Its because They are similiar enough that people just categorize amphibians WITH reptiles. Its wrong but we just let them think they are smart :D

Because they don't have a category of their own. Some questions on terrestrial frogs are asked in reptiles, the aquatic varieties (African dwarf frog and African clawed frog plus tadpoles) often end up under "fish" and they may be placed in "general pets" as well. We also tend to get a lot of aquatic turtle questions in fish too!
Same goes for hermit crabs, scorpions, tarantulas, walking sticks, etc. - they're aren't reptiles either, but until Yahoo!Answers sees fit to add an arthropod and amphibian category, reptiles or general pets seem to be where most of these questions are found.

Correct.
I think it's an easy one to combine though since they are both cold-blooded, eat about the same things, and live in similar habitats. A lot of people that know a lot about reptiles also know a lot about amphibians and vice versa.

That is because people mistakenly associate all creepy, crawly and slimy things with reptiles. This includes amphibians, insects, arachnids and other non-reptilian animals. Pets stores make the same mistake and so do “reptile” magazines.
A more correct term would be herptile; which includes reptiles and amphibians into one group.
And even a more open word that could unit herptiles and invertebrates together is ecotherms; simply cold-blooded organisms.
