After dating about 15 people that either lied about their age; their picture was 5 - 10 years old; their body type was not average like described but bordering on obese; turned out to be "drama queens"; and some nice people that just didn't work out - I finally found a GREAT woman. We've been together for nine months and just got back from a cruise together. Marriage is definately in the future. Eventually the percentages work out. mahalo!
ps - If you're a woman, be careful. I've heard 30% of the guys on internet sites are married.

My husband and I met through a pen pals site and just started out as friends. We would chat online and on the telephone for several hours a day and so agreed to meet. We have now been together eight years and married four. Some people thought we were weird to meet online but we are just normal everyday folk and we are very happy.

My sister (who is 19) is working toward her private pilot's license, and she joined a pilot forum on myspace...met another student pilot.. and we are all now friends with him, in fact he was at our house yesterday and he sometimes comes to church with us. There was also a different pilot guy that came over all the time and we all liked, but he had to move back to California so we don't see him anymore.
Also, my dad's friend met his current wife online. They now have a 3 year old son...

i have not had this happen directly to me, however a very close friend went thru this....
they met on an online dating site, she lived in the states and he actually lived in another country. they spoke online for about 6 months, he finally flew to the u.s. to meet her in person and they fell in love instantly.
they continued to date for another year or so long distance thru spuratic trips btwn countries and finally he moved here, they got married, and have been happily together for over 3 years now!
