This question is not pertaining to me as I have had a will since I was 18 but people in general of any age or status.

Oh and Why don't more people have a Will prepared? I wouldn't want the state decided where my children went or who got what of my possessions.

If you actually own property, bank accounts, stock, or have children, then you need a Will unless you want the government to take it and do whatever they want with it. It really is that simple.

Unless you have children or you're filthy rich, I don't think wills are *terribly* important. For the average Joe with average, no-frills belongings, one of the do-it-yourself will kits would work just fine.

If you have a lot of property, money, children, etc. you should see an attorney and have a will drawn up.

I think it is very important! I will be doing one also, so that way when I pass on, there will be no drama as to who gets what and why?

But why...........would you have a will at the age of 18? You don't have anything at that age......unless you are a Hilton, Jackson or a Gotti.

What assets do you have? It you are 21 and own a stereo and a car loan, not so much. 30 with a house and family and insurance and debits more so.

It depends. If you aren't married, don't have kids, and don't have any assets it's not that important. If you do, then it is important.
