I would not call what is happening marching in place.

I would call it swirling around the toilet bowl until the you-know-what goes down the drain.

wow that mind set scares the hell out of me! You live in the freest and richest country in the world and still some of you moan and groan like you are in a concentration camp or something. But since we have freedom of speech here you have the right to stay miserable and blame all your problems on one person. If you think a Democrat becoming president in 09 is going to magically change the U.S. then you are in for a big dissapointment. Government is too big and it doesn't matter which party is in power as long as we keep letting them grow it bigger, the bigger it gets the more incompatent it becomes and the smaller we get. But all in all I can still pick the job I want drive across this beautiful country and never get stopped to show my pappers unless I break a law. Life is good!

It has been quite sad to see the way Washington has been sold out. And not just Bush Jr.

While Congress is sticking their nose into the baseball steriod witch hunt and gasoline price gouging, more pressing matters like climate change, health care, and social security are left up in the air.

Sad to say, but I don't see this trend changing regardless who comes into office in 2009.

If Congress refuses to do what we elected them to do, restrain and remove Bush and Cheney, you may be right.

I don't think John Conyers and Henry Waxman are sitting on their hands taking orders from cowardly Democratic leadership after standing up to the Bushies during the zenith of their power. Something is brewing in their investigations--it just hasn't come to a boil yet.

The reason its been so quiet in the White House lately, is Laura and George had a spat and she told him to go stand in the corner.

Problem is, they were in the Oval Office at the time.

Marching in place is good for you. Bush is no longer trying to do anything good, he's just trying to keep his approval rating from dropping even more.

- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.

as far as marching in place. with 757gate, the consitiutional violation of the territorial pelosi vote grant. pork barreling the defense bill and of course our all time favorite the socialist nationalization of americas health insurance, it seems clear where americas marching at this moment, its definitely not in place and has alot to do with fire and brimstone and oddly enough is being lead by your party.

"Improve our county's situation" in what respect? The economy is doing just fine? And yes, for those not in the top 1% too.

Americans are learning, growing, working, experiencing, living. We aren't a bunch of statists like Europeans, waiting for our marching orders from government.

Oh, I disagree. I look around me and see a booming economy. I see the US making headway, albiet slow, in the war. The glass is half full, not half empty.
