They are the most incredible men I know. They give up their entire beings to lead others to Jesus Christ.
I am blessed to have several good priests counted among the best of my friends....and I thank the Lord for them every day!

I respect Catholic clergyman. I will not allow the perversions of a relative few (about 6%) of corrupted clergy to taint the goodness of the other 94%.
Granted that is 6% too many but that's far fewer than what most people (want to?) believe.
I think, when it comes to sex offenders, society is Schizophrenic. The legal system, with many citizen's approval, seems more interested in "rehabilitating" sex offenders than punishing them.
However, whenever one of these sex offenders happens to be a priest, it seems these same people - who are so "compassionate" to other sex offenders, want to lock priests up and throw away the key.
When a non-clergy sex offender is convicted of sex crimes, we don't go about paranoid that every person we bump into is a potential sex offender, so why do some people regard all Catholic clergy as pedophiles because a relative few have been convicted?
Long story short, priests get a bum rap from secular society. Perhaps, if more people treated priests the way the rest of us wish to be treated, society would realize that Catholic clergy are friends, not enemies.
Legally speaking, we live in a society where the suspect is innocent until proven guilty. Why do we do this? Because it's the honest thing to do. Those who assume the guilt before it is proven are every bit as dishonest as pedophile priests.

You can't make a judgement about a whole group of people based on their religion or their position in society, or even on certain examples from specific individuals in that group. Yes, some Catholic priests were child molesters. Yes, some Catholic priests are very conservative and fundamentalist. But that doesn't mean they all are. Most of them are just members of the Catholic clergy, generally decent, honourable men, human beings. I'm Christian, but not Catholic, though I'm not anti-Catholic. We of the LGBT society ask not to be judged, so we shouldn't judge others either, even if we don't agree with what someone else says or does or believes.

pedophiles. i know they say "dont judge an entire group from a few" but damn there were a LOT of cases of child molestation going on so this wasn't just an isolated incident or the working of a single deranged man. that's what they get for trying to remain abstinant, you cant deny the sexual urges God meant for you to have.

Think most of them are gay and were afraid to tell their family members so, it was easier to join the priesthood. Thats why they attack little boys.
