why do all of those things? why not go to africa and offer your help? devote your life to helping the sick? travel the world? make a difference in the world? CHANGE the world? my personal view on life is to have fun and not plan too much stuff out. i really don't like the life you just described so im not going to live it that way. right now im in college, then, who knows!! the things i am considering after that are, masters degree, joining the navy, coast guard, the peace corps or get a job. life is all about enjoying it from my view. from a scientific view it is to reproduce. so get knocked up and have fun!! (talk about hitting two birds with 1 stone haha)

Life is just what you have now, your present, it's there for you to live it the way you want, sometimes it's pretty predictable, others it's not and it's full of good and bad surprises...maybe you will live enough to study, and work, and marry, and buy that house, and that good car, and have those children who wont understand you and whom you wont understand either, and those grandchildren, and finally you'll die as any other organism....however, maybe it wont be like that, maybe Life or God, has something else in mind for you, another plan, a better or a worse one...dont you think it's worth to live and see it with your own eyes???
I do believe it's worth it, I've wonder the same questions from time to time, but deep inside, among my doubts and fears I know it's totally worth the living, and the sufferings, and sometimes even the monotony....all of it it's worth it...
YOU ASK: why to live??
and I ask you: Why not to live??
The antonym of living is dying, or "not existing at all"...is that what you want?? not living?
Think about all you have in your life that fulfill you, all that you wont have when you die, therefore, live now, improve your life perspective and enjoy those you love, because some day you will regret having these thoughts...
If you're having a bad time now, dont worry, we all have, but everything pass, nothing is forever, neither the good times nor the bad times....

There is only one thing you need to know before you die, and that's the Cosmic Irony. At one time, the universe had no consciousness, no way of thinking about itself. It was nothingness. The fact that you are alive today to question "its meaning", is the most ironic fact of all. Through you, the universe has sentience, and that's all you really need to know. Do what you want with the rest of your time here.

I guess if you go with the flow and do all the things we humans do but if you can make a difference in some else's life (childern, needy, etc.) then I think it is worth it. No matter what we think of this world we were chosen to live it and make the best of it.

In my opinion life is worthless unless you look at it from our creators perspective. What it actually is for is spiritual development, not keeping up with the Jones. If you think about it what would an intelligent being create this plane of existence for? With us away from Him, In my opinion it is so we can develop spiritually so we don't turn His Holy Dwelling into a living hell like we enjoy doing here.
He is intelligent, If you consider how you might feel if a whole herd of retards invaded your home and were totally selfish and self-centered and wanted everything for themselves wouldn't that turn your world into a nightmare? That is why we are here so we, if we are smart work on maturing spiritually so we can live for eternity with the most intelligent supernatural being that has ever existed. We came from an animal. Animal themselves just try to survive to enjoy life. Man is much more advanced due to his knowledge about nature namely the mother Earth and hence he wants to survive more than others, naturally. For his survival he took the science hidden in the nature and has developed what all he could lay his hands upon. The food you eat, the house you live, the car you drive, the plane you fly are all man made but they all came from the nature only and also the science, engineering and the technology to make them also comes from the nature itself. Becuse man's mind is inquisistive, he gets the knowledge of living too in a scientific way! We have understood the way to live as the one to complete a life cycle starting from baby in mother's care,boy to school, young to learn more and able man to do job and to get married to make his offsprings and to live for the wife and children with lot of love to give and take which forms the essence of living! Hence he is the most successful among all the living creatures to understand the meaning of life as to live happily with advanced civilization, knowledge on almost everything to create from the nature all that he wants to make life finer and better day by day and to the survival of his community he too leaves his off springs with all what he has in possession for them to complete their mission to leave something even better for the future generations! The chain continues with advancement of science till the humanity itself dies as whole to vanish from Earth, which is a billionth of a percentage as probability to happen! So its a commitment of all of us to live to make our survival as the most useful and meaningful. Life is to live with all joy and gaiety to the full possible and to die in the most natural way to go back to the nature where from all we came!
