The first thing you need to do is RELAX. If you don't the muscles will be tense and not allow the tampoon to go in. Next calmy try to put it in. And you might want to try using the small ones at first. They are definately easier to use. Good Luck and RELAX! You will get it!

Put a little bit of Vaseline on the applicator to help ease it in. Relax your body and your muscles as well. Good luck.

Hi, I have the same problem. Try using non applicator tampons like lilet minis and before you put it in, put some petrolieum jelly (just a little) on it. It should make it much easier, I've tried and it works and it doesn't stop the tampon doing it's purpose. Hope this helps x

You should try the Slender ones... they are made for people who are just starting to use tampons and they are slimmer so they're easier to insert. Good luck!!

Try a smaller size...Read the directions carefully..RELAX...it works good sometimes to kinda sit on the toilet when your putting them in...Playtex pearl i think has sizes that work better for girls just starting their periods..so try that!! good Luck!

Well if your really dry down there it will be harder to put one in. Try to put a little bit of lotion or lube around your private area before insurting the tampon .Try to relax a bit when your doing it. If your tense you muscles down there will also tense up making it hard to put one in.

I've heard if you cough while you do it to relax you're muscle it helps to get it in easier,,,,but if you are a virgin its not recommended using tampons and that could be a reason you cant get it in,,,,all i can say is that they are very comfortable and practice makes perfect....i hope you find you re way,,cause i cant live with out them

It should be easy...You might be using the wrong absorbancy. If your flows not heavy, get a tampon with lower absorbancy like slender.

I'm not trying to be rude or sarcastic when I ask this, but are you aiming for the correct orifice? That could make all the difference. I read of a young girl trying to put it in the wrong place.

It shouldn't be that hard. Read the directions on the box.
