Hello i am an actress actually im not professional yet because my mom thinks im too young rite now but you should create a resume of your experience and the training you have had and each day you should practice a sample piece of a monologue or a play piece for 2 to 3 hours. In due time your mom will see that you are committed and may begin taking you to auditions. This resume is very important and you also need a headshot that is black and white of yourself and it should be on the back of your resume. Anways i still think you should get involved in school plays because it helps and people like to know you have lots of experience. So God bless you and i hope everything works out! By the way my name is Selima!

Well, acting is a field that is hard to do well in, so you need to prove your abilities. Audition for a school or local play and see where you are put in the cast. Do your best in the role you are assigned and show your mother that you have talent.

Get involved with your school's drama department. Even if you don't act in the plays, helping with directing or technical theater can be of value for any hopeful actress.

That's wonderful, I also aspire to be an actress. Good luck, sweetie, it's a rough business. Pretty much, I agree with everybody else's general consensus. Get involved with a community acting program or in the school plays. You'd be surprised how many places there are for you to flourish in your area. I used to think that since I lived in a small town, I was doomed to live a life of razzle-dazzle deprived-ness (is that a word?). My friend Samantha, however, introduced me to multiple theater companies that were semi-local. I am going to get involved in them as soon as the fall season begins, because unfortunately my summer is packed full of work, friends, and practicing technique, I'm sure you know how that is. Which brings me to another point.. Being that your mom has doubts, prove her wrong. Take acting lessons if you aren't already, and even if you don't, practice your monolouges. Start with short ones, then gradually make them longer and longer. Good luck, I'm sure I'll see you someday in the spotlight. :]

Try auditioning for school plays, or have your acting director talk to your mom about it.

maybe you should do some plays or anything that the school offers so that you can better yourself...it would only help on a resume if you did everything you could to get the career you want...
