It happened when i was sleeping & i felt someting sharp pinch my foot but i was to tired & when i actually realized it was glass the wound had healed itself & now i can't even see the glass but i have a sharp pain in my foot! Can glass actually remove itself from your body or is this something i HAVE to see a doctor about! If i can avoid the doctor that would be great!

No it s not safe to leave in. A number of things could happen. First of all the glass can become dislodged and pierce a nerve, artery, vein, or muscle. Secondly infection could still easily develop. And thirdly it will probably cause you pain later on in your life. My advice to you is get to a doctor and have him remove it. After make sure that you keep it clean and let it heal. Good luck and I hope this helps.

A doctor may not want to take it out now, if it doesn't bother you. It May cause more infection or harm to take it out, are you sure it's even in there? maybe you only think it's in there, this is what the doctor might say.
If it is, it'll create a sort of wart over the spot and a callous to protect the body, the body does this. It may have to come out at some time if there is something in there.
See your doctor, see what he thinks, he's the real answer guy.

If you have had it three days and you've been walking about on it, the chances are there is no glass there. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get your foot x-rayed just to check. It just that chance of infection, which if it does occur maybe a devil to clear as the circulation in the foot is poorer than in the rest of the body.

sharp, foriegn objects in your body can migrate and come out other places. Whether that happens or not, the idea of glass in your foot which could cause cuts beneath the skin does not sound like a good idea to me.

Goodness gracious please go to your doctor and tell him what happened. I would never leave any foreign objects in, even if the wound heals over it. Good luck with that!
