theres this man at work who's catholic and from ireland, he had an accident ages ago so he's been left disabled, he can't walk properly. i dont think anything is wrong with him mentally, and when he speaks he sometimes stutters, ive only started working there recently but he has made lots of racist remarks about blacks and asians which are not very nice. thing is even when the manager hears it, nobody says anything 2 him. do u think its because his disabled that no one says anything or shall i report him?

Difficult.....If it upsets you then say something...but try and do it in a sensitive manner...Nothing to do with him being Catholic and Irish, just not sensitve to others feelings and what is acceptable...if it persists then report him to the Manager...after all thats why he is a Manager. about time he earned his money

Just because he is disabled does not give any excuse to portray abuse at other cultures etc. I would firstly tell him there is no need for that sort of abuse, then if he continued, I don't see why he should not be reported. You can make allowances sometimes, but not when someone time and time again makes the same mistake.

I think you should say something. Why should you have to listen to things like that at work? It's got nothing to do with whether he's disabled or not. Ask him how he'd feel about people making remarks about his disability/speech or religion?

did he say that before the accident? if so, go ahead and report him. there is no reason for those types of comments on the job.
i'm sure others are no reporting him b/c of his disability....but as people - as professionals - we need to take responsibilty for what comes out of our mouths.

It could be because he is disabled. He may even be doing it to see if someone says anything. You might talk to your boss about it because he could be wondering how to handle it. I'd say something to him first, and if it doens't get better, report him to whomever deals with such matters.

well, if it bothers everyone, if all the rest are not racists, then just ignore him .. he's angry at life .. but if you think he has people around him tat support his opinions, then yeah, you should report him, because the harm he's doing would be too big to ignore just because you have understanding for his problems.

Can you talk to him? If so tell him you are offended and will report him if he doesn't change, Rascism is vile in any form.
