This is a gross over generalization. The only people who are against border security are the people getting rich from hiring illegal aliens and paying substandard wages. There are many people who realize that building a wall is a giant boondoggle that won't do anything to secure our borders. It will create some more jobs for more illegal aliens, since that's who holds a large part of the construction jobs in that part of the country and Bush started letting contractors caught hiring illegal aliens get government contracts. There will just be more tunnels dug.

Because our borders have been where they are for a couple centuries - they don't move and don't need to be secured.

They like to think back to the days of excess land and resources, where the whole "freedom" deal was at it's prime, where immigrants were the basis of this country and were free to come in.
