How old is he? If he's still really little, could be just regular spitting up, but it sounds like he may be getting sick. Try smaller feedings closer together. If he can't keep anything down, or shows signs of dehydration, definitely take him to be seen ASAP.

My daughter had the same problem from about 1 week old.The doctors were forever telling me she was fine and that all new babies are sick...however she brought up every single feed and it was more projectile vomiting.Eventually someone listened to me and they dicovered she had pyloric stenonsis...this is a blockage in the tummy which prevents food passing through properly to be digested. They also discovered reflux at the same time.Pyloric stenosis is however more common with the first born son (so i was told)My daughter had a small op at 4 weeks old and she's had no probs since.I'm not saying that your son has the same conditions...but the only advice i can give you is 'go on your gut instinct' You may not be a doctor but i can guarantee you'll know whenever your child is ill.Good luck with everything and stay strong :o)

My second son was very sick and threw up every feed when he was first born - we tried so many milk formulas it was a tough time. In the end we settled him on Cow & Gate Comfort. It's a thicker milk which settles them a bit better - worked for us.

Have a word with the Dr or Health Visitor to put your mind at rest. Good luck x

Hi, sounds like a tummy bug, probably the funny weather. I would just give him plain boiled water for maybe the next couple of feeds so he doesn't get dehydrated.leave off the milk feeds. It might be the formula but if he's been on it a while it's unlikely. have you been with others who maybe have a cold or something?

He might have acid reflux which can cause babies to throw up whole bottles. It is good that you are taking him to the doc, but you might need to go sooner rather than tomorrow, because he is probably getting dehydrated. If he isn't peeing the normal amount, take him in right away. (You can also check for dehydration by looking at his fingernails...is the under the fingernail area still pink or all white...all white means dehyration. Also if he still has his soft spot, if it looks sunken in, that is also a sign of dehydration.)

I had that problem with my daughter too. My health visitor said as long as its not projectile, with diahorrea and a temp its fine. and try and give him some cooled boiled water too that should help with dehydration. But just to be on the safe side id say make a doctors appointment or call your health visitor for advice just incase he has a bit of a tummy bug. Hope he gets well soon.

My son is two months old and he threw up for two consecutive feedings and when we took him to the doc, it turned out ot be overfeeding. but then it cud also be a stomach acid reflux...the difference between the two is that in overfeeding the baby throws up immediately after the feeding while with the other, there r intermittent pukings..but the best to do is take him to the doc as u dont want him to b dehydrated..so chek out wht he dus and try feeding smaller portions more frequently til u take him to the doc..

My wife and i had a similar problem with our son. Turns out in our case that he was running a high temperature. We took him to the hospital and he remained there for 4 days until his temperature came down to normal. He's a big eater so when he was refusing to eat we knew it was a problem. Hopefully in your scenario it's nothing that a hospital visit won't resolve.
