I got mine at 12 years old. If you are athletic it could take longer to get. I am not sure why but they say that. You will start getting stomach pains, and discharge. Usually if you get pain for two weeks straight you know its coming. Your chest will hurt, and sometimes your back will hurt. You could start spotting a little to. Which means you will see a little blood when you go to the bathroom. Dont worry you will defiantly know when its coming. Keep Maxie pads on you all the time since you are starting to have discharge. So you can be prepared if you get it in a public place. Good Luck

Unfortunately you can't tell. It can coem in an hour it can come in 3 years. That's why you hear horror stories. If it makes you feel better, wear a panty liner. They are thin and discrete. Contrary to popular belief, you won't start by gushing blood everywhere. But I would refrain from white and light color pants until it arrives.
You should feel it when it happens and you may experience some cramping.
For the record, you aren't a late starter by any means. If you were 16 then yeah. However you are perfectly normal.

Don't be in a rush to have your period. No you will not be able to feel it coming. It's a messy thing in having your periods and sometimes even painful. So what your friend boobs are bigger than yours. Boobs don't make the woman knowledge and knowing who she is and not following the crowd and being her own person and being a leader makes the woman. When you start your period there's no turning back until your 50. PLEASE PLEASE don't be in a rush because when it come it comes every month, month after month, one week out of four weeks, I wish mine would just go away and never come back but your period will come it's the one thing you cannot control. Big boobs just get in the way. Try doing jumping jacks with big boobs, and it cost back problems.

Boob size have nothing to do with when your period starts. Some girls start earlier than others, forinstance at the age of 9. I started around age 13. Girls that are very athletic will start much later around age 15. Check with your mom or older sisters if you have them and asked when they started. If your that worried, ask your mom to take you to the Doctors for a check up.

Holy cow! there are some really miss- informed answers to this question...I'm not 100% positive but 13 is not late..I know girls are getting it earlier and earlier, but be happy that you haven't gotten it yet...you will have it for a really long time trust me!!! Here's a good idea..instead of turning to the internet...which is sometimes not all 100% acurate try talking to your Mom or Dad.and your doctor...or a sister...There is not much to do to prepare. It will come when it is darn good and ready...hope it goes ok for you.

13 is not a late starter at all. My friend was a late starter at 15. No need to be concerned. 13-14 is the perfect age. JUST ENJOY FOR NOW!! It feels like someone is constantly pouring warm STICKY liquid between your legs and then sitting on it contstantly. Then there is that constant and REAL possiblity of leaking and staining your pants. BE GLAD!!

You sound like you are already having one, maybe your's will just be light. Ever ones, period is not the same. Just like the number of days you may stay on. Some girls stay on three days, some girls stay on five. It just depends. Don't put to much worry into the Boobs. Some girls, get huge ones, and some girls, do not.

Find out when your mom got hers. she may give you some insight to when you might get yours but whats the rush. It starts and that's it you have till your 50 so dint be in such a rush to get it. it will come when you least expect it. You don't always get symptoms when you get it. I was 11 and at school and didn't know it till another girl told me about it. my sister was 12. so it depends on the girl. I wouldn't worry to much. it will come when you least expect it to do worry so much. if you are active in sports it can slow down it from comming. so don't worry it will come though it will. infact it could come tomorrow.you don't know.

There is no way to tell. Girls get it from ages 10-18. First you will have begun to develope breasts and pubic hair. Some girls get cramps a week or so before they get their period. Have you talked to your mom?

your period will start about 2-3 years after your breasts have started developing, and you will get your period 6 months to a year after discharge
