it has been documented that frogs and other small creatures or inanimate objects have rained from the sky. In ohio it once rained snakes.
This happens in really bad storms.
When a poweful tornado runs over a place where frogs are very common, it is able to hurl them very long distances.

The fish aren't rained down. This is very common in heavy storms like hurricanes and tornadoes. The wind picks up water from lakes (along with fish and frogs) and deposits them on the ground as the wind dies down. Nosoop4u

well, snakes live underground and when it rains, their holes get flooded, and they have to leave their homes so that they will be able to survive. So no, the snakes did not fall from the sky, it was just a myth.

It's rare but it can happen. I'm surprised so many people have not heard of this myth. Frogs are classic for this to happen to, a tornado will scoop them right up and drop them later. This occurence is so rare though that almost no one sees it in their lifetime.

Small animals can be picked up by tornados and be thrown surprisingly long distances (up to several tens of miles)

yeah, its called the snake cycle. Snakes evaporate when it is hot and dry, then they condense into snake clouds in the upper atmosphere, and when the clouds get heavy enough the snakes all fall back to earth again.
Wow.
