If you are referring to the United Kingdom, then the next General Election has to be held not later than 2010, (I think the actual date will be May or June.) The most likely date, however, will be 2009. Few Prime Ministers like to carry on to the bitter end. The next election for the European Parliament are due in 2009. Local Authority elections will be held in May 2008.
