My daughter is nine months old and all four of her top front incisors just broke through. She got her bottom central incisors at about four months. It seems like she is ALWAYS teething!! How long do I have before the next teeth come in, and where will they be? How long is she going to be teething (how long does it take to get a mouth full of teeth?) Thanks!

Moms Only? How about single dads??? My 17 month is still teething.... Back teeth are coming in as I type... Dentist told me it could be up to 2 yrs before all her teeth come in... It is different for every child.

You know... There are some single dads who find these conversations useful and can provide some good information...

I wish I could give an exact answer. With my first it seemed like she was teething forever. With my son all his teeth popped over a period of two months with my 3rd her teeth didn't come in until she was almost 1(she had two bottom teeth on her b-day) with my 4th she has been teething since 3 months and at 15 months she hasn't gotten her cainines yet, but the rest of her teeth, even her first molars have popped through. The general pattern for teeth are front bottom teeth then front top teeth and then they skip the cainines and go for the teeth next to them usually starting on one side left or right and then the other side bottoms usually first but it can go the other way or at the same time even. Molars show up around the first birthday usually or sometime after if you have a slow teether.

Well, every child is different. My 1yr old has 15 teeth! He just got in 2 more molars and 2 canines within the last 4 days. I know what it's like to be teething ALL the time. The teeth are really supposed to come in order from center outward except for the 1st molars and the cuspids(pointy teeth). The 1st molars are supposed to come in first, although my son did the opposite. Good luck, I know how you feel.

Each child is different and get there teeth at there own rate so there isn't an answer to your question, Sorry. My Mother use to put whiskey on my gums but now there are a variety of products that numb the gums so teething isn't as painful I would ask your pharmacist. After your daughter has that mouthful of teeth, she will begin losing them so that her permanate teeth can come in. It is really a vicious circle so get use to it and if this is the worse it gets, thank God.

I understand what you are going through. Both of my daughters started teething at a ridiculously young age (3months). When my oldest started getting teeth, after the first four came in, I could no longer keep track. She was constantly droolly and wet. I always had to keep bibs on her. This lasted until she was about 16 months. After that it was smooth sailing. As for what teeth come in when and at what age....it's a crap shoot. Every kid is different.

Babies get 20 teeth, 4 top front, 4 bottom front, 4 eye teeth (two top, two bottom). And 2 sets of four molars. The first set of molars is sometimes called the "one year molars" and the second set the "two year molars".

The other ones start coming in between 4-14months and come in when they come in *lol*

There really is no answer. Every child will teethe differently. My son did not get his first tooth until 11 months. Some baby's will get their teeth sooner and some later. Not to worry, there is not doubt that it will happen soon enough.

yeah there is no answer, honestly i don't remember any teeth but the first couple with my daughter. it gets easier with every tooth (the teeth that are in help cut the gums for the ones that aren't).

Ohh dear - sounds about right though!!

My little one, now 15 months, had about the same at that sort of age. He now has six top and six bottom. They all vary as to when their teeth arrive - it will end I promise!!
