i heard the 8 series are the best video cards? Isn't this a good deal? will it fit in my computer? (hp a6000n)

It's a good card for the price- the 8500 is slowest of the 8000 series cards, though- it's even slower than the 7600GT, but it has DirectX 10 support. I'd rather have a 7600GT since no games are using DX10 yet.

Basically the 8800GTS and higher are awesome cards, the 8600 and 8500 series are just ok. And yes, the HP A6000n has a PCI-E slot, so those cards will fit.

that one is worth 100 bucks or less...it's the lowest end card in the 8 series.

the 88xx are the best cards out there that go for 250-350+

Yea its pretty good, Directx 10 is a major plus.
Instead of $100, buy from these, a little cheaper:
