We have a fish tank with 5 fish in it (1 pakosomis, 1 angel, 1 cat fish, 1 shark, and 1 white fish (that is shaped like a gold fish)
well, the white one is PSYCHO and keeps killing all our other fish! It killed about 10 so far! It took out 2 puffers, one of our angel fishes, (a few random fish) .. and now our shark!
So now, we have 4 fish! We can't get to the white fish to get him out of our tank .. what do we do?? I am sick of him being an undertaker!
We have a non-agressive tank .. and the pet store said he was a non-agressive fish! we went back and told them what was going on and they said it's not normal behavior from that kind of fish!
We can't get him out of the tank .. is there anything we can do to prevent him from killing our other fish?????

What size tank is this? It shouldn't be a problem to net him and tank him out. If he's really persisting on not being cornered, try lowering the water level down somewhat. This might help the amount of verticle movement it can do to escape being netted. You may also have to take out all your decorations. My Datnoid Tiger Barb is one stubborn ornery fish and he's darn smart as well. I was trying move him from tank to tank while I could deal with the water chemistry in the main tank he was in. He would go and hide under tree decorations or crawl into the hollow log I had until I finally had to take everything out and corner him. Thats how I get mine if I am moving them from tank to tank. I block off one side and slowly move in on them till I get them cornered. If you can get him cornered, it should be alot easier to get the net underneath him and scoop him up. I don't know but my guess is this fish is a Tin Foil Barb. To me, they look like gold fish, only not as dense in the body, meaning thinner. And I had a really big Gold Tin Foil Barb in the past, and he never really sat still. I bet this is a Tin Foil Barb from how you're saying he's acting. They need to be schooled for them to be more stable.

It sounds as though the white fish might be some type of albino cichlid. These fish are aggressive and territorial - it figures the entire tank is "his" and any fish you add is just an "intruder" to be chased off (to where?) or killed. If that's it's nature, nothing you can do short of giving it it's own tank will prevent other fish from being killed. It's also possible that it's an albino form of a schooling fish like a tiger barb - these are aggressive as well, especially if they aren't in a group of 5-6 of their own kind.

About the only thing you can do is get him out (even if it means taking all the other fish and decorations out as well and returning him to the store.

First get your other fish out of the tank. Once they are secure, drain the tank enough to be able to catch Psycho fish. Might as well do a good cleaning of the tank while you're at it since most of the work of draining will be done. Put the fish in its own bowl or tank. Refill the tank and make sure its back to normal and return your remaining 3 fish back to their home tank. As for what you will do with the white fish, you can either keep it or take it back to the store.

No there is nothing you can do to prevent it unless you take the other fish out of the tank which I would suggest you do it may make it easier for you to get the white fish out of your tank.

Take out the psycho fiah and put it in a differnet tank. I don't know why you can't take it out though. Get a pro to do it. Or just return it to the store. That's was I did to my cray fish cause in ate all my other fish.
