YA just sent me two violation notices and took 24 points for perfectly fine answers. But yesterday they posted a question that threatened the President's life. So YA you support people who threaten others, why are you violating peoples free speech? Hey some serious give and take on this, we all have a vested interest in this.

Hey these some great feedback, you all are probably right some one may just be an idiot, free speech probably worded that wrong Yahoo does have a right, but it needs to be universal. Its sounds like I'm not the only one having fun.

I think Yahoo has gotten around to all of us, Pusher you were screwed there was nothing wrong with your answer. We should band together and fight whoever is going around doing this and get Yahoo to organize this site better. It has turned into the old discussion disaster.

I can't answer your question really. I do have a suggestion. If you have a troll stalking you, go to your profile and edit the information. You can choose to hide your questions and answers. If that stops the violation reports, you are being stalked. If it doesn't, maybe you should really consider the things you are saying in your answers. I don't generally report anyone, although I will admit I reported someone whose avatar showed 2 men having sex. I try to remember that this site has a homework help category, so Yahoo expects children to visit. I did have one answer reported and deleted and there was nothing offensive about it, so I started hiding my questions and answers. I knew I had someone checking my answers. There's a category here that has an answerer with something like 75% best answers. I saw he was only answering questions that no one else answered. I started answering the same questions. He could then go back to his answer and vote for himself. Try that for a few days and see if it stops.

Last Saturday, I got a violation notice for this:
"Question: If Bush and Company staged 9/11 - how did they plant demolition charges?
Question Details: Nice joke. LMAO. What's the punchline?
Deleted Answer: Nice joke. LMAO. What's the punchline?"
I appealed, but I suspect the violation notices are automated and nobody at Yahoo reviews these before they go out. Instead of answering, I should have just reported the question because it "bashes" Marvin Bush and makes him responsible for the 9/11 attacks, which we know is false.

YA deletes answers without reviewing them. I had it happen to me a few times. All it takes is someone not liking your for some dust up you might have had another time or just some mean spirited person, that answer did not warrant a deletion. Appeal the violation. state that your answer if they had reviewed it was not offensive and if that one was deleted, all the other answers to the questions should also be deleted. Include the answer if you can remember what it was. Tell them to review it and reinstate your points. I did exactly that and got my points back. they cannot put back the answer but you can get your points back

I can see your point, but some of it is subjective. Some of the questions asked are pretty dumb, and only deserving of flippant remarks. Some of the spelling is atrocious which also tends to undermine the questions asked. And sometimes people may give an answer that doesn't help you at all even though they thought they were doing their best. So my opinion is no.

Now, I'm not saying this isn't bad business practice or unconscionable or just plain annoying. But it is *not* a violation of your free speech. The First Amendment prevents the government from restricting your speech. Private institutions (e.g. Yahoo) can restrict your speech. It's not a violation of your rights.

You should probably post this over in the Yahoo section instead of here in Politics and Government. I have had my account suspended 9 times now and each time it was for violations that were reported but there was absolutely nothing wrong with. Welcome to Yahell Answers!

I received a 'group' of violations last night too. I think that has to mean someone went down your answers and reported them all or something. It means someone doesn't like you. But who cares. I don't know what these points are for anyway.
:::I think I know what "President's life" question you are talking about and good for you. I think that's someone in the USA and his talk was VERY radical.

It sounds like you have a report stalker troll following you. Unfortunately, it happens sometimes, especially when someone doesn't agree with whatever you posted and want to act on some insane ideal of revenge.
I don't understand why Yahoo doesn't have real people checking on the claims either. For instance, I was reported for simply stating what political party I belong to and received a violation. But yet, Zorvok, the answerer at the bottom of this question gets to stay.

All you can do is plead your case on the message boards.
