Just remember the your little one has wake and sleeping times. They change their habits after birth. When you feel that the baby isn't moving what you should do is first thing don't panic. Like I said they too sleep and their movements are not as strong. Try, eating something a little sweet, then lay on your left side (that gives the baby a burst of energy, try not to eat too much sugar but in this case it might help) and see if within 20 Min's. your little one will be kicking and letting you know its OK. If there is no movements call you OB. and you might find that you overlooked all the movements because you really scared yourself. Just remember theres a force bigger and higher than you or I is watching over you. Talking to God is better than panicing Best Wishes Good luck in the future and may God Bless.

Yes! been there . . done that! a few times!!
It's the worst feeling in the world when you think something is wrong .. I wake up every morning and rub my tummy to feel my little boy kick .. If he doesn't kick (within 10 minutes) I just lay there and pray to God to get a kick out of him .. works every time :)
It's amazing how much love you can have for a person (especially a person you haven't met yet! :)
But it's the best feeling in the world .. our babies are definitely a true gift from God. The best gift we could ever receive :)

Next time you go without feeling him move for a bit go drink some juice or eat then lay in bed and relax. And do fetal kick counts mark how long it takes for you to feel him move 10 times. The juice and food should wake him up if he has been sleeping. I had to do them with my pregancy cause high risk and I know sometimes when your really busy you mind gets use to the kicks so you dont even feel them. But next time if there is any doubt call your doctor and ask to come in.

ya, that has happend. it's even more scarey when you have experienced a loss before. like meI lost a baby 3 days after birth. with this pregnancy at about 22 weeks, I was not feeling him move for like 4 hours, and I was just laying there, I wasn't even running around or anything. and then I drank some cold water, and he started moving. we almost went to the hospital. but we were reasured byt he doc that it's just too early to feel movements "all" the time. I think I've got it in my head that the reason why woman don't feel thier baby move when their walking around an being busy is cause it's like rocking them to sleep. it's strange that some babys after birth only sleep when they are being held, I think it's cause they are used to moving all the time....and at night w/me(I'm 30 weeks), as soon as I lay down my belly is like a jungle gym! next time that happens, tho, drink an ice cold glass of water, and start poking around. for sure you'll get kicks. good luck!

Same thing happened to me. Saturday he was really quiet, but he's made up for it the last two days. When I think it's been too long since I felt movement from him, I lay down and have my husband rub my belly. The baby must like it cause he kicks me when it stops! It's reassuring, especially when you have a high risk pregnancy.

Babies love to mess with their mammas! They go through normal sleep and wakeful periods. Sometimes lasting a day or more with only slight movements (ones you may not feel. My first pregnancy, I didn't experience that as there were two...someone was always awake! With this one, it freaked me out a bit when he didn't move for a day and a half (I"m sure he did, I was just sleeping or too busy to notice). I was more than a bit relieved at my appointment that week to hear his strong little heartbeat. Best of luck.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was told that I was miscarrying. I had a pain that they first said was ligament stretching then went to give a UA and started bleeding!!) A few hours later, after they had already come into my room and gave me a teddy bear that they give for parents who miscarry, they did an ultrasound. Turns out that I had a cyst that had burst. That was the bleeding!! I was never so scared!! Amazing how much you love them before they are born, huh??!! GL!!

If this happens again, drink O.J. or something sugary and then lay down for awhile. That should wake the baby up and get them kicking you again. And it is completely normal for this to happen...in vitro babies need their down time too, so don't panic right away. Good luck!
