I'm hoping mine won't be tomorrow when I go back to the hospital for a check-up - I am sure everything is OK, though.

Yes. I had to take all my vacation and sick leave (over 2 weeks) when I had surgery in May. Now I can't go on the vacation to Florida I was wanting to take. I guess there's always next year though.
I hope that you're okay and your summer isn't spoiled as well.
