Bush willfully lied when he used the forged uranium/Niger document in his STU, AFTER pulling it from a speech in Ohio 3 months earlier. the CIA told him that it was NOT reliable both times and to pull it both times.

Here I am to save the day (to music)! J/K

I don't know. I'm media challenged. I have all these thoughts fighting for voice, in my head, and let's just say that with all the various agendas, of all the various "special interests groups" it'll be a wonder if the US is ever rolling along on a sane track again.

And I'm sure that was highly enlightening. LOL

BUT seriously: You know already, that I do not believe Bush lied. So this was a baiting question. As far as Nifong, he will be the sacrificial lamb for a nation so screwy on victims that the status quo remains. People fight very hard to avoid free thought, as you can see by the answers to my question.

Of course and now we will see what happens when those that have the power accuse, charge, try and convict a person (although he did an illegal and unethical job) in the criminal justice system. Now I want to know what about the stripper that originally told the police all the lies that led to this brouhaha. Will she be charged with filing an false police report, perjury and defamation of character of the Duke LaCrosse players? If not, we REALLY have a screwed up criminal justice system and more and more people will fall into the trap unless we as a society take this bull by the horns and demand action!

NO.

Actually, neither actually lied.

Nifong with held information he was required by law to disclose & behaved unprofessionally in other ways as well.

Bush was aparently guilty of "cherry-picking" his information. When provided with conflicting intelligence reports (thanks to Clinton's weakening of the CIA) he choose to rely on the information which supported what he wanted. Actually MANY believed the same thing.

And he was especially wrong about the "after-war." The rebellions & terrorists he faces now, after the actual war is over.

He was a poor leader - but I do not think there was any evil intention.

hmm... there's a saying that goes... "before you critisize a person.. put yourself in their shoes"

have you tried being the most powerful man in the world?

it's actually harder than it sounds because with great power comes great responsibilty.

have you given time to try to see the good things Bush has done?

have you talked to a soldier who has been to and from Iraq?

Did you know that for every soldier killed there are two or three people saved from slavery in Iraq?

Do you wonder why the people of Iraq cheer when they see a soldier??

Did you know that JFK, Roosevelt and lincoln were all considered horrible presidents in their time?

wow... if they were horrible presidents I'd hate to see how you or I would be as president.

I don't believe that Bush lied but I notice once again that you haven't included any examples. Don't tell me that you didn't jump on the Duke "victim" bandwagon before it was exposed as bullcrap. That sure wouldn't fit your M.O.

No, Bush was mistaken about the location of Saddam's WMD's. We all know Saddam had them at one time, he used them against the Iranians, and the Kurds. The question is where are they now.

Fortunately the U.S. is much more resilient. The reputation is tarnished, but will recover under the new management of the democrats in 2009.

Nifong intentionally lied to get his name in the paper or whatever. When has Bush intentionally lied?

Yep, you got that right, but I guess that some people are more forgivable than others for some reason unknown to me.
