Okay, I'm 13 and 4 months.. and I haven't had my period!! I've had discharge since I was 10, and my boobs grew when I was 11. It's been over 2 years!! My breasts are considerably bigger now (38/a?) and I'm not that athletic, but I look skinny. I'm been eating to try to get it to come, but it wont! Also, I've already got my figure, my hips are wider now, and I've grown 5 inches since last year! I'm worried my first period won't come... could something be blocking it? I have gotten heavy discharge during this school year and sometimes even pangs of pain in my back and stomach, NO PERIOD YET! I'm sad.. I want to be normal? Any help?

Babydoll!! Enjoy this time WITHOUT it!! It might not show up till you'e 17! Be glad , because it's a hassle. Some girls get really bad cramps, and they are no fun. Let me assure you that you are completly normal!! Don't be sad! Be glad. I promise you it will come when it's meant to come. And I also promise you you'll be saying, "I wish it hadn't come till I was 18!!!!" Stop stressing. It's not worth it. Enjoy being 13. :)

There's a bunch of things that could be going on. 1 - When did you mom or any older sisters first get their periods? It tends to be somewhat similar among family members. 2 - Are you very athletic? It is healthy to exercise, but if you work out a lot and your body fat is low, your body can sort of think it's under too much stress and can cause you not to get your period. 3 - There are other things that can cause this, but the first two are the most likely scenarios. The bottom line is, talk to your parents and go see your doctor so they can rule out the less likely things.
