I've had the period for six years (I'm 17, got my first period when I was eleven), but for the last two it's been highly irregular. Instead of getting it every month it skips two or three at a time before I get it, as normal. I heard about a girl (and her mom) who had the same thing, that they only got the period four or five times a year, but there was nothing wrong. They just had long times between periods. Now, I'm wondering if this is dangerous or if there's something wrong with my uterus? Please answer if you know anything my issue, or have the same problem yourself and know what to do about it.

I wouldn't worry about it. My period is sometimes irregular and it's no big deal. Most often, irregular periods come from changes in sleeping or eating habits. Stress is also a factor in this. You don't have anything to worry about. Sometimes I'll go a month or two without a period. If you're really worrying about this, ask your doctor, but from my own personal experience, it's nothing to worry about.

NOthing is wrong, you are just irregular. But if you want the normal 28 day period, get on the pil, it will get you very regular

It just sounds like you have an irregular cycle, but you should talk to your doctor.

I would go to the ob/gyn. Birth control helps to regulate it.

it can vary from case to case and each has a different normal cycle span. asking your ob-gyne will be best.
