MP's voted for or against the War in Iraq. Was it such a good thing to leave the vote in their hands?

Ok, say I vote for a candidate who doesn't get elected. Say I'm not Labour or Conservative, but Liberal Democrat. And my guy doesn't get elected.

Is it possible to think that the person who does get elected is not truely representing my voice in parliament, since I didn't vote for him.

Therefore, they're voting for/ against the War not on my behalf?
Should the vote be put to the public then?

Sure.

Why not get rid of Parliament all together. That way you can have a plebiscite on everything from the Queen's annual budget to whether to declare nuclear war on The Duchy of Fenwick.
