BURNERS:
"The Firm"/Grisham -- maybe a pedestrian choice, but I read a third of it before even looking up.
"Six Bad Things"/Huston -- totally hooked by page 2
Any of the Kenzie/Genarro novels by Dennis Lehane
BEST:
"One Hundred Years of Solitude" /Marquez- certainly not a quick read, but worth the time invested.
"Gilead" /Robinson- beautiful, poignant letter from father to son
"Fahrenheit 451" - simply genius; visionary, and still relevant.

It's difficult to choose the three best ever written because I haven't read them all yet. My personal favorites are:
1) The Power of Positivite Thinking
2) The Art of Negotiation
3) Rhinoceros Success

Books I can't Put Down:
any Harry Potter book when it 1st came out
Best Books of All Time:
A Prayer for Owen Meany, by John Irving (so good! They made a movie out of this book called Simon Birch, but it was trash compared to the novel).
I wish I had more books that I felt worthy to put in this category!

*Wicked* by Gregory Maguire is definitely one of the best books written if i do say so myself :D
*The Color Purple* by Alice Walker is just wonderful...I can even describe it, it's so wonderful
*Invisible Man* by Ralph Ellison is one of my favorite books of all time! I absolutely adore it, and it is very well-written...Ellison doesn't get tongue-tied where other authors would
*The Age of Innocence* by Edith Wharton (the movie was wonderful also)
*1984* by George Orwell is one that I flew through...it was interesting and a good read
