I was just interested, it seems like they don't swing everything over to the extreme left when they report. Some of these other networks are run by socialists, seriously.

No matter what you think of Fox News, it is an alternative to ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN. If you don't like the news on Fox, you don't have to watch it, you actually have a choice. Bashing them and calling them Faux News is as bad as referring to the big three as ABS, NBS, and CBS.

It's not. If you are informed and watched the third Presidential debate you would know that after the "equal time" the candidates received as well as the treatment that Dr. Ron Paul received from Sean Hannity; you'd know that Fox News is also a part of NewsCorp which is defended by Giuliani's law firm. So fair and balanced? I think not.

Media is a business in America. Fox News has a target audience just as CNN and these other networks you're talking about. I don't know what you consider "socialist" but the ones who run the media outlets are by nature capitalists, otherwise they wouldn't be able to profit and stay in business. If anything, you could say NPR is the most socialist because it is member supported.
"Fair and balanced" is laughable though. There is no such thing in major American media.

They may be more cautious than other channels, but in this corporate world, nothing must be taken for granted... Things change fast at an everyday rate! So just don't think you are safe to trust them. Actually, I have read a lot about news broadcast on this channel that were not suit to be called news at all, as they were reporting subjective things and opinions, which, in journalism should not have his place...
Anyways, you must learn, that where is money there is always partiality... Integrity is not a practice value anymore, those days are gone with the wind...

All the major media outlets in all the world are owned by something like 5 people. Mainstream media is simply propaganda.

It all started in the late 80's when the fairness doctrine was gutted in the courts and the attempt by Congress to save it was vetoed by Reagan.

Nothing in politics happens on accident. And now the propaganda machine is stronger then ever. Don't trust the MSM. Please don't fall for the left/right paradigm. We are all American's. Our country is in danger.

In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States.

Back in December of 1996, Jane Akre and her husband, Steve Wilson, were hired by FOX as a part of the Fox “Investigators” team at WTVT in Tampa Bay, Florida. In 1997 the team began work on a story about bovine growth hormone (BGH), a controversial substance manufactured by Monsanto Corporation. The couple produced a four-part series revealing that there were many health risks related to BGH and that Florida supermarket chains did little to avoid selling milk from cows treated with the hormone, despite assuring customers otherwise.

According to Akre and Wilson, the station was initially very excited about the series. But within a week, Fox executives and their attorneys wanted the reporters to use statements from Monsanto representatives that the reporters knew were false and to make other revisions to the story that were in direct conflict with the facts. Fox editors then tried to force Akre and Wilson to continue to produce the distorted story. When they refused and threatened to report Fox's actions to the FCC, they were both fired.(Project Censored #12 1997)

LET ME REPEAT THAT: "They argued that, under the First Amendment, broadcasters have the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on public airwaves."

You can see by all these answers that these liberals have been spoon fed liberal crap from the mainstream media for so long that a regular report not reported with a liberal slant must be bias. These are the same people that think NPR is a real news source and has no bias.

they are the worst.
no news network is fair an balanced do not believe anything any mainstream news tells you and remember they don't tell you a lot of things you should know. ESPECIALLY FOX NOISE. also i think it is interesting to know that the rightwing media mogul Rupert Murdoch (fox news) is hosting fundraisers and donating funds to hillary clintons campaign. so how can you say anything about other networks being run by socialistS?

you should use internet free press to get your facts from somewhere other than news networks and o'reilly and sean hannity (bush cheerleaders).

Fox news is a bit more conservative, but in my mind, only because the rest of the media is so liberal. It's the perfect mix.
Hannity and Colmes are good friends outside of work...though I'll bet they don't discuss politics there.

Maybe they're so "balanced" because they're owned by Rupert Murdock, the man who rewarded O. J. Simpson for committing murder. Murderers have to make a living too.
