a .doc file is a text file.
.jpg is a image compression format.
i dont think you could.
but if you want an image of the word document, and it will fit on your screen, then have Word maximised on your screen, and press the "Print Screen/SysRq" key, it will be by scroll lock i beleive.
then open paint or photoshop and paste (Ctrl+V) and viola.
if the document IS to long you could do some cutting and pasting to bring it into one image.

With the Document visible on the screen, press Control + Print Screen
Open up an image editor like Paint and paste the image you just created in the editor.
Crop out whatever you don't need or cut out what you do need and paste it over the current image..
Save the finished image as *jpg

You could re-scan the text and save as a text file which will import into most word processing programs. Your jpg file wil import into a word processing document but you will not be able to edit it in that form as it just a picture.

The following solution guarantee success putting MS word doc to jpg format the quickest and easiest, even with a lot of pages.
but 1st you have to have Internet explorer Version 7 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/sysreq.mspx to open the word doc, and
Download and install webcollect toolbar from this link http://www.web-collect.co.uk/
1. after installation of toolbar, opening the doc with IE7, look for the page with arrow icon on toolbar left to a white lollipop, click on it.
2. a red rectangle will follow your cursor, move the rectangle over the doc area and click again, capture will start
3. finally, the capture will come up and you just have to save it to jpg format .
hint: for very long doc. sometime a few lines at the end might be missing, just make sure 10 blank lines at the end of the doc, then everything will be captured.
Hope this would help.

You'll have to do a couple of steps. First save as a .pdf and then open it up in a photoshop type of program and do a "save as" again.
That's the only way I know to go from .doc to .jpg -- someone else might know of a faster way.

Open that document, and change zoom rate, till the whole page will be visible. Press the PrintScreen key on your keyboard.
Then open up an image editor program (Paint, The GIMP, Photoshop etc.....) and press Ctrl+V. Then crop the image according to the document page, and save it in JPEG.

Just take a screenshot and save it using paint. What I don't understand is why you would want to save text as an image. It would be much better to save text as a word document especially if you have more than three or four pages.
