The O, Cl or N will always have the partial - charge.
So you can work out which bit of the molecule (the rest of it!) has the partial + charge.

The functional groups are ether, haloalkane, primary alcohol, primary amine and ketone.

Consider the following: the more electronegative atom will withdrawl electron density from less electronegative atoms, meaning that it will have a partial negative charge on the electronegative atom, and a partial positive charge on the less electronegative atoms.. Relatively ectronegative atoms are things like Cl, O, N, ect.. Now, equipped with this info, go ahead and try these yourself. Hope this helps.
