And no, I don't work for Yahoo, I'm just curious if people's opinions have changed since these features were first introduced.

You know, I haven't used it to block anyone yet and I don't really see that need unless someone gets really nasty and abusive.
As far as the contacts, I use that all the time.
Certain people (you included) I enjoy reading and connecting with daily!

I like the Fans and Contacts features because it introduced a basic social networking to Y!A. So far, Yahoo! 360 hasn't done so well when compared to websites like MySpace and Yahoo is looking to change that.
I've met some very interesting and fun people through this feature.
The block feature is next to worthless. Someone can get around it by setting up a new Yahoo ID. In fact, just logging out allows someone you've blocked to look at your Answers profile, including your network and your questions.

Ech, I never had too much trouble before... I stopped watching my fans after the first day and haven't blocked a user yet.. But I DO like the Contact feature... when the main board gets dull... I can always count on my Contacts for some good questions...

I think the block feature blows.... every time I'm blocked, I get a little closer to suspension! I still don't understand what the fans/contacts is for but, I like it...... even though it hasn't helped me gain any stalkers!

It's great to get a group of like minded interseting folks on your contact list.
Since I put my profiles' Q&A off limits to non -contacts ,I've ended my daily violation notices. Trolls were going into my Q&A,and messing with me. It seems that it gives the Yamsters something to help ID the idiot trouble makers on here. We wont stop'm all,but at least when certain postings get blocked repeatedly, from a lot of different folks, all complaining of the same violations that caused them to block someone,it gets noticed. I'm sure that most of the obnoxious postings on here come from bored lttle brats skipping school.

Well, I think the blocking is pointless. But the whole fans and contacts is nice. It reall brings us together (and i do say with only two contacts right now)

Works great for me! I had a stalker for 4 months and now she is BLOCKED! She can't violate my questions or answers for chatting because she can't see them anymore! So, it's bye bye to her!!!

I love it but my favoprite is making your Q&A private so only your contacts can see it
