I had a really heavy period this morning (soaked a reg. pad in 45 mins) Then I went home and put in a tampon. I removed it 2 hours later because it was leaking, and for the past 3 hours, my period has been really light. Am I backed up or something? Can tampons slow your flow?

That's normal. Flow can alternate during your period. Tampons don't slow blood flow, they just soak up the blood.

no, your flow changes all the time. this is normal. if you took tylonol or some other pain reliever, it may cause more bleeding, so that could be why it was so heavy.
