I like a lot of horse breeds. I tend to like the ones that have eye appeal, intelligence, a good mothering/protective instinct, size, heavy bone, big joints, great feet, presence, endurance, and wear and tear capabilities, and good all round capabilities for driving, pleasure and performance riding – and if I can find a rare breed with these qualities then I like to do my part to help the breed from fading into oblivion as the numerate breeds already have many people looking out for them.
Highest on my list is the Cleveland Bay. I have a pure CB stallion which I put to various other breeds including TB and QH mares. If I was not involved so heavily with the Cleveland, my next breeds in order of interest would be: the Canadian, the Connemera, the Shire and Clydesdale, and the Icelandic, though this is a bit smaller than I like. The Gypsy Vanner also interests me, but I don't know a lot about them.
I also like the hybrids: the mule or hinny, though they are generally too smart for most people.
Overall, I think the TB has had the most influence recently on most breeds, and it comes in such a variety of sizes, shapes and dispositions that I think it is very valuable to the world herd's gene pool. But breeders need to pay attention to putting good feet back on the breed.

I love my Qh's because they are so outgoing and willing to hit the trails enthusiastically. I love my little Paint filly because she's gorgeous and has that same great personality.
I love my old retired Clydesdale because he's so big and cuddly, and I love my Percheron because she's such a steady strong ride and oh so sweet.
Wow, I don't know if I could pick just one breed. I had a little Arabian mare and she was my princess. Our neighbors have a TW and he's SUCH a smooth ride.
I CAN'T pick just one breed. If I had to, it would be a tie between QH's and Paints, but since I don't have to make that choice, I still have my others. :-)

Connemara Pony all the way! They are smart durable and cute. Not many people know about them because they are kind of rare. They are large for ponies, not less than 14 hands. They are awesome! PONY POWER.
As for the people who like palominos because they're pretty, one they're not a breed, and two who wants a horse just because it's pretty? Do you have any other reasons?

I really like the Quarter Horse and the Canadian Cutting Horse. They are both reliable and sturdy. The CCH has natural "cow sense" and is good on trails. Well, they're both good on trails. They're not too tall or too short and they're friendly. Hooray! My horse, Archer, is a QH.

I have a WONDERFUL Peruvian Paso, as well as Andalusians and a Quarter Horse. I much like the Andalusians, but you can't beat the stamina of the Peruvian Paso. I also LOVE Gypsy Vanners, but they're quite expensive :)

I like two breeds.
QH
1. They can do anything
2. Good tempered (as long as they're not abused)
3. Lots of horse power (the real thing)
Arab
1. Can do anything
2. B-E-A-utiful!
3. Grew up riding one (a very exotic roan- no crossbreeding)
