it could be pink-eye and that can spread very easily so have it looked at before you encounter any more people than you already have.

It could be possible, but then you should feel some pain. When i used to play video games for 9+ hours a few years ago, my eyes also swelled up and went red. I used some eye drops and they used to get better. Recently my eyes also went red after an insect flew straight in. I doubt that you broke ablood vessel though.
