Nice person, but he allowed himself to support plans to build coal to liquid plants in Illinois, and THEN realized that they would produce vast amounts of carbon dioxide and has had to revise his position. Don't we need someone with broader experience and less tendency to shoot from the hip?

That petty stuff shouldn't matter.

Giuliani has far less experience with foreign affairs and other things than Obama does, and he is the top Republican candidate.

We need someone who hasn't been in Washington long enough to be corrupt.

Everyone makes mistakes. And at least he fixed his mistake instead of continuing to throw money at it.

We need someone that realizes their mistakes and fixes them.

I actually like the fact that he hasn't been around for so long. In many jobs, the youngest employees are the ones who are not jaded and who will work the hardest. He has something to prove, good ideas, and he really cares about the average Joe. I will forgive a few small mistakes for that. He was smart enought to realize the war in Iraq was not a smart move. That shows pretty good intuition to me. Besides, what he does well is motivate Americans to get off their lazy butts and make this country better! That is really what we need. No one should expect a President to do it all him/herself...

If I was going to vote to put a Democrat in the White house I might vote for Obama. Yes, he is young, but he brings a different view of the issues to the race. I think he has a future in Politics , I just don't have a crush on him for 2008.

You mean like someone who has lots of experience in the petroleum industry? Maybe someone who has turned a bankrupt oil company? Maybe run a baseball team that plays in a stadium built by the taxpayers? Do connections in Saudi Arabia and with the binLaden Family work for you?

I think so.

Obama should run for governor of Illinois and if he wins get some executive experience and then run for president in the future.

The boy is a lightweight - just like that other boy, Little Johnnie Edwards, is a lightweight.

Does anyone have the faintest idea who these characters would choose to fill their administrations? I sure don't.

No, people sometimes make one or two mistakes. As long as they learn from their mistakes they are okay. When they make a bunch of mistakes and don't learn from them we have a problem.

I think thats the general conception of him, a little raw and too inexperienced to be President at this point in time.
