I always associated gated communities with the rich people because they are so much a part of the public eye and need more security than the average person. Here, I don't even lock my doors. I don't think I'd ever see that around here.

A bit safer than a normal community....But some people press the button to open up the gate for you if you stay there too long...There are many ways to get in.

I'd just think those people want security and privacy. I'd live in one if the chance ever comes. They even have gated apartment communities where I'm from!

We have a 2 block long gated street 2 blocks from our apartments. I guess it would be ok.
