Is it just me or is Peter Angelos the dumbest owner in baseball? He fires his maneger and replaces the with a bullpen coach! Out of all people (no disrespect to Dave Trembley) he hires a bullpen coach. He could have at least gone out and offered some contracts to some former managers or something like that. He also does nothing to get better players. And he wonders why the O's don't win. I can't wait until Cal Ripken takes over as owner.

There's no team chemistry and the players have very little faith in the current team management and coaches.

They are a complete mess right now.

Peter Angelos and his sons are handing over the day-day operations to Lee McPhail, a World Series Winner with the Minnesota Twins where Joe Girardi was a player.

Peter Angelos realized that 14 years of micromanaging has left him in a worse situation than he even imagined. Nearing 80 years old and wishing to bring a championship to Baltimore, Angelos has given up control and the results will be seen within 3-5 years.

To me, Angelos is an enigma but he's always focused on the common man but running a baseball team has not been easy. I feel he made the right decisions and he's not to blame for the 2007 debacle - after all, Angelos did not drop the ball in Boston but the ailing Ramon Hernandez.

He only promoted the coach temporally. He will try to hire another manager. What makes you think Ripken will buy the team?

From what Ive heard its only a very temporary move. Theyre seeking permission to talk to Joe Girardi of the YES network. If the Orioles get him consider your team blessed.
